The group course

Build It With AI

Eight live sessions where you build something in your own accounts, with me in the room the whole time. No coding background is needed.

01 / What it is

One room, eight sessions.

Eight sessions, live, over several weeks. Everyone is in the same room at the same time, each with their own screen open, building their own thing. The first session is setup, with me there. After that we turn one real idea into something you can build, and you build it, piece by piece, with me moving between screens. The last session is a demo: you show the room the real thing you built, and that is when the certificate is earned.

02 / How a session runs

An hour, most of it building

Each session is an hour. I show the idea for about fifteen minutes, then you build and I move between people. Moving between people means I look at your screen, see where it went sideways, and unstick you, so you are never left watching someone else work.

Between sessions there is something small to do on your own thing, and the recording to go back to. If you miss one, you can catch up.

03 / What you need

What you bring

  • A real computer, Mac or Windows.
  • A paid Claude subscription. You buy it yourself and keep it afterwards, and we set it up together in the first session, with me there.
  • No coding background, and no previous experience with any of this.
  • Something you would like to run better. That is the only real prerequisite, and it can be small.

04 / Who it is for

If you run something, or want to.

You run a small business and you are doing every administrative job in it yourself. You are starting something and want to build it properly the first time. You have tried an AI tool, got a disappointing answer, and decided it was not for you. That last one is the person this course was built for.

05 / What you leave with

What stays with you

  • The thing you built, running in your own accounts.
  • Your own saved prompts, in your words, for the work you actually do.
  • The recordings of all eight sessions.
  • A certificate of completion, earned at the final session, where you show what you built.

06 / Who I am

Jacob Mendoza

Jacob Mendoza

I'm Jacob. I teach adults to use AI in the business they already run, live, on their own screen.

I am not an engineer. I run a small business myself, and I built its systems the way I will teach you to build yours: in plain English, at my own keyboard, one useful thing at a time.

I run Build It With AI, a live course of eight sessions where people build in their own accounts with me in the room, and I work one-to-one with owners who want one thing in their business fixed properly.

“It gives you answers that encourages you that ‘you can do it’ … It will amaze you to see Claude think and go through processes without requiring you to have knowledge of coding and programming.”

Gwendolyn · Build It With AI

“I'm surprised at how Jacob teaches in such a way that I'm actually getting to understand Claude Code better…”

Terri · Build It With AI

“It's a great idea to join. A group of like minded people in more ways than one 🙏🏾”

Terri · Build It With AI

“Don't be afraid. When you fear something, be willing to learn about it. You won't regret it.”

07 / Questions

Questions people ask

Is this a coding class?

No. You will not write code. You direct the AI in plain English to do real work: research, organising, drafting, planning. You make the decisions and it does the legwork.

What if I am not technical at all?

Then you are like most of the people who have done this. Nobody writes code. You tell the tool what you want in plain English, and I am there when it does not do what you expected. If you can write an email, you can do this.

What do I need?

A real computer, Mac or Windows, rather than a phone or tablet. A paid Claude subscription, which you set up in the first session with me there. And something you would like to run better.

I do not have an idea yet. Should I still come?

You need less than you think. Not a business plan, just one sentence: what do you redo every week that you wish you did not? That is your idea, and early on we turn it into something you can build. If you are still not sure, write to me and I will tell you honestly whether it is a fit.

What if I miss a session?

Come live if you can, because the live room is the whole point. If you have to miss one, tell me and I will make sure you walk into the next one caught up. Every session is recorded, so nothing is lost.

What if I do not keep up?

Then you tell me, and I make sure you walk into the next session caught up. Every session is recorded. Some people go slowly, and slowly is fine.

How big is the group?

Small enough that I know your name and your idea from the first session, and small enough that you can ask the moment you are stuck.

Will my idea be safe if I share it with the group?

Yes. You decide how much of it you share, and what is said in the room stays in the room. Most people find that describing their idea to others who are building their own makes it clearer, and that is the only thing the group is for.

Is there a certificate?

Yes. A certificate of completion, tied to the final session, where you show the real thing you built.

The next group

A new group is starting now. The one after it forms when this one finishes, and I can tell you the dates on a call.

What time of day would work best for you? Check all that work.
